The Berkeley Transfer Station will be temporarily closed for facility repairs from Thursday, May 9 to Tuesday, May 14, 2024. We will reopen on Wednesday, May 15 at 8:00am. Please visit other nearby transfer stations to dispose of waste during this closure:

Davis Street Transfer Station, located at 2615 Davis Street, San Leandro, CA 94577
Golden Bear Transfer Station, located at 1 Parr Blvd, Richmond CA 94801

The Office of the Director of Police Accountability is currently located at 2020 Milvia St, Suite 250, Berkeley, CA 94704. This temporary location will be effective until May 30, 2024.

Please note the South Berkeley Senior Center is not available for private rentals until after August 2024.

Bolivar Drive is re-opened between Addison Street to Bancroft as one-way vehicle traffic entering from Addison Street. Waterside Workshops, Street Level Cycles, and BORP are open. Dreamland Playground is open during construction. Please expect construction delays during construction hours.

Aquatic Park Water Quality: As of March 26, 2024 bacteria levels are within the State Water Quality standards and the yellow advisory has been lifted.

Bacterial samples are collected weekly, usually on Tuesday mornings. The Parks Division updates the page when there is a change in water quality.
